Competition Results Database V6.02

For Scouters and those who score Cub and Scout competitions.

Want to know what's new in V6.02?

Want to know what the package does (functionality)?

To upgrade your existing V6.00 or V6.01 installation click here (1.5MB). Just download, run and unzip.

Full 6.02 Installation kit - Download 32 bit Windows version (310MB). If Microsoft Office 2010 32 bit is already installed on your computer then you must download the 32 bit Windows version and ensure Microsoft Office 2010 SP2 is installed (Open up MS Word and go to File, Help and ensure the Version number is 14.0.7* (32 bit)).  If Microsoft Office 2013 32 bit is already installed on your computer then you must download the 32 bit Windows version.

Full 6.02 Installation kit - Download 64 bit Windows version (375MB).  If Microsoft Office 2010 64 bit is already installed on your computer then you must download the 64 bit Windows version and ensure Microsoft Office 2010 SP2 is installed (Open up MS Word and go to File, Help and ensure the Version number is 14.0.7* (64 bit)).  If Microsoft Office 2013 64 bit is already installed on your computer then you must download the 64 bit Windows version.

Most users who have Microsoft Office 2010/13 installed on their computer installed the 32 bit version - this is the default.  This is still the case even if the operating system (Windows 7, Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 10) is 64 bit!

Install the 32 bit version if you are not sure which version you need (see below instructions).  If you do not have Microsoft Office 2010/13 installed you can install the 32 bit or 64 bit version of the Scout package.

Installation V6.02

Installation is a five step process.

1. If you have been running an earlier version of the Competition Results Database, then make a backup of your existing data to a folder on your C: drive or better still, to your flash disk. Use the backup functionality provided in the earlier version of the Competition Results Database.

2. If you made a backup, verify that the backup worked by using Windows Explorer to ensure files were copied to your flash disk as expected.

3. Do not continue if you have not verified your backup.

4. Uninstall the old Competition Results Database by going to the Control Panel  and clicking on "Add/Remove" (XP) or "Programs and Features" (Windows 7).

5. Download the 32 bit Windows version (260MB), unzip to your C: drive and run CompSto_x86\setup.exe OR

If Microsoft Office 2010 64 bit is installed on your computer then you must download the 64 bit Windows version (325MB), unzip to your C: drive and run CompSto_x64\setup.exe.
